The Opportunity
Leavitt Machinery is looking for a
Parts Warehouse Person to join our team in Brampton, ON.

As the Parts Warehouse Person, you will be responsible for accurately processing all incoming goods and outgoing orders in a timely manner as well as ensuring all goods are neatly and accurately stored.

The position is also responsible for maintaining bin locations on all goods and maintaining the warehouse in a neat, clean, safe, and orderly manner.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Parts Warehouse Person your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receive shipments from carrier and receive inter-branch stock transfers
  • Stock goods received, ensuring goods are placed in correct bin location or assign new bin location to goods not previously inventoried
  • Process credits
  • Pull items listed on order from inventory
  • Notify sales staff of any inventory discrepancies encountered when filling order.
  • Prepare shipping documentation for order bill of lading and/or carrier waybill
  • Contact carrier to request pickup
  • File packing slip copies, bills of lading & carrier waybill copies for outgoing shipments
  • Answer branch inquiries on orders
  • Check hold till complete orders daily
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse
  • Perform inventory counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
  • Additional duties as may be assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalency, is required
  • Previous work experience working in a warehouse environment, or with Parts is desirable
  • Mechanical experience with machinery is an asset
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office (Outlook) and ERP system
  • Comfortable working to externally imposed deadlines (ie., pickup/drop off, inventory)
