Who we need

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, we are looking for a Bilingual Talent Coordinator to join our growing HR team.

It's an exciting time for Securian Canada, and you will play a vital role in the new hire experience, coordinating the full-cycle Talent Acquisition process from requisition launch to the onboarding of new employees.

In addition, you will enable the broader talent strategy, supporting the execution, reporting, and tracking of various talent initiatives and annual programs.

What's in it for you

_ Impact, exposure and career development._ Finding quality talent in a timely manner is critical to providing Canadians with the customer-focused service they need and expect from their insurance provider. Your work will directly impact our ability to serve our clients, meet their needs, and our overall business objectives to continue our great work across the country. At Securian Canada, we believe in supporting the professional development and goals of our people. As you gain exposure to Talent and our HR department, you will grow your skills and have the chance to specialize, contribute to new initiatives, and move up on this team or into another area of business.

What you will focus on

  • The system administration. You will create and set up new requisitions in Ceridian Dayforce, our HRIS, ensuring data integrity. You will launch and monitor approval chains for job postings, create new hire profiles, and update organizational charts.
  • The hiring process. You will conduct preemployment checks via a thirdparty vendor, track status and follow up. You will draft employment contracts, coordinate the signing process and onboarding plans, manage new hire documentation, and keep track of checklists.
  • Talent Management. You will support the administration, coordination, presentation, and reporting for new and existing talent initiatives, including mentorship, talent review, succession planning, and performance management.

What you bring

  • The education and experience. You have a diploma or degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration, along with directlyrelated experience supporting recruitment and/or talent management in a corporate or agency setting. You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio) and can quickly learn new technology; previous experience in HRIS and/or ATS systems would be beneficial. You can maintain the privacy and confidentiality of sensitive information and are passionate about growing your career in Human Resources.
  • The interpersonal skills. You are bilingual (English/French) with superb written and verbal communication skills. You can build trusting relationships across any level, and you take a customerservice approach to the work you do, seeking ways to support and help others.
  • The drive. You are perceptive, proactive and solutionoriented. You're incredibly organized, coordinating all of the details while maintaining focus on the big picture. You look for continuous improvement opportunities to introduce efficiency and engagement.

Why join?

When you're a part of Securian Canada, you're a member of an agile and innovative, high-performing, bright-thinking, make-things-happen culture - so that together, we can discover the art of possible.

At our company, we see your potential on day one and challenge you to grow your unique strengths as you create a career filled with opportunity, collaboration, and purpose.

You'll also be part of a team that's committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and who values diverse perspectives, so that you can be the person you want to be - both in, and outside, work.
