About the Role

SMS Security has been providing security solutions to the GTA for over 35 years with a strong presence in the multi-residential market.

Our customers trust our advanced security systems and highly trained security personnel to keep their residents, property, and information secure.

With our business growing, we're looking for a full-time CCTV Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Installation

Install and configure CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, and DVR's, ensuring proper placement and alignment for optimal coverage
Run and terminate cabling, and install necessary electrical components

Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve technical issues with CCTV systems, including camera malfunctions, connectivity problems, and recording issues
Respond promptly to service calls and address onsite problems efficiently

Customer Service

Collaborate with clients to understand their surveillance needs and provide expert advice on system upgrades or improvements
Ensure the site is clean after the work is completed

Documentation

Maintain accurate records of all installations, configurations, and maintenance activities
Generate detailed reports for clients and internal use

Training

Provide training to clients and endusers on the use and maintenance of CCTV systems
Create instructional materials and documentation as needed

Collaboration

Coordinate with other technicians, electricians, and security professionals to ensure seamless integration of CCTV systems with other security infrastructure.

Good to Have:

Ability to assist in the service and installation of Access Control, Telephone Entry Systems, Door Operators, Elevators, Alarm Systems and IT is an advantage.

We Offer:

Requirements and Qualifications:

35 years of experience with commercial and residential video surveillance systems
Troubleshooting skills
Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
Valid G driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to use power tools.
Comfortable working in all elements some projects are outside or in underground parking garages.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Salary:

- $22-$36 per hour to start, depending on experience
