SUMMARY OF TASKS:
Our Dartmouth Plant has an opening for a part-time lab technician.
This position is responsible for the quality control of the products by performing raw and finished product testing according to the quality program.
This shift is Friday and Saturday 6:00 pm to 7:00 am.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily lab sampling; performing analysis of product (chemical & microbiological);
Ø Monitoring and enforcing on-line quality checks during production;
Ø Conducting environmental testing;
Ø Assisting in the implementation of policies and procedures relating to HACCP and GMP's;
Ø Responsible for the cleanliness and mechanical condition of all laboratory equipment;
Ø Communicating effectively any issues with all levels of production;
Ø Other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ø Post-secondary education in a related discipline;
Ø One year of experience in microbiology and Quality Control
Ø Attention to accuracy and detail;
Ø Ability to demonstrate analytical and organizational skills.
Ø Must have the ability to work unsupervised
Ø May have to work weekends and extended hours
