    As a Senior Communications Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Senior Vice-president (SVP) of Retirement & Benefits Solutions (RBS) at TELUS Health. With a team of nearly 2,000 members nationwide and a focus on providing comprehensive support for pension and benefits administration to various clients including corporations, businesses, government organizations, and multi-employer plans. Working closely with the SVP and the RBS leadership team, your role will involve developing and implementing strategic integrated communications plans that enhance engagement, align with our business strategy, and elevate the TELUS Health brand.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Creating and executing a communication plan that boosts team engagement, aligns with the business strategy, and fosters advocacy
    • Devising effective communication strategies and engaging content to enable leaders and team members throughout the organization to achieve TELUS Health's business goals
    • Delivering both proactive and reactive communications including team-wide emails, speeches, talking points, organizational announcements, town-hall presentations, and messaging for sensitive issues
    • Collaborating closely with the People & Culture team to implement internal programs that enhance culture and engagement, as well as partnering with our Public Relations colleagues to support executive profiling initiatives that enhance the SVP's market presence and business objectives
    • Enhancing content and expanding the SVP's social media presence

    Qualifications

    You possess:

    • Strong storytelling and writing skills with a proven ability to craft compelling internal communications, speeches, and other materials for senior leaders
    • Adaptability in writing styles and content tailoring for diverse audiences and channels
    • Ability to build trusted partnerships with senior leaders and successfully collaborate with various stakeholder groups
    • Strategic and creative thinking, with a track record of embracing change in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent organizational skills, strategic mindset, and the capability to manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently
    • Agility in evaluating current work methods using insights and data
    • Proactiveness, self-driven initiative, and quick learning abilities
    • Comfort with various digital collaboration and work tools such as Google Workspace and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Awareness of business trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory issues, particularly in the pensions and benefits industry as it pertains to TELUS Health

    You have:

    • At least seven years of progressive experience in corporate communications/internal communications within a corporate environment
    • University degree and/or post-graduate certificate in public relations, communications, marketing, or journalism, or extensive relevant business experience in a senior communications or marketing role
    • Demonstrated success in leveraging communications strategically to influence culture and business outcomes, with a focus on team member engagement
    • Fluency in both English and French (verbal and written) is advantageous
    • Familiarity with the healthcare and health technology sectors is a plus
