A Day In The Life
Sheet metal fabricatorflashings, backpans, scuppers, caps, custom flashings.
Checking all quantities and given information with workorder sheet.
Handling materials throughout the shop both by hand and by various types of lifting apparatus.
Ensuring the quality of the product turned out meets or exceeds industry standard.
Ensure QC program is adhered too, and proper procedures and paperwork filled out.
Support various stations throughout the shop and adaptable to different positions.
Advising and Informing Managers/Controller/Foreman of any variances in the daily tasks set forth.
Share best practices and improvements with all team members.
Adhere to all safety policies and requirements.
Enjoy and create a team environment.

What We Are Seeking
Forklift handling skills and certification is preferred.
Knowledge of metal fabrication considered an asset.
Proficient at unit conversions between imperial and metric.
Knowledge of shop drawings and navigating considered an asset.
Basic knowledge in MS Excel/Word/Outlook and various PDF programs considered an asset.
Good communication and people skills preferred.
Ability to adapt in a fastpaced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Soldering and hot welding is an asset
Architectural product knowledge considered an asset.
Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
