Get in on the ground floor implementation of our new Human Capital Management system in the coming year
The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting for an
HR Systems Coordinator.

This position is responsible for the configuration, administration, and promotion of human resource information and business systems that support and improve the productivity of the Human Resources Department and provide quality human resource management information and processes to the organization.

The position ensures information capture, tracking, analysis, and provides reporting and advice to management in support of their information requirements.

The Coordinator will lead system related projects, audit processes to improve service provision and maintain data integrity, and provide training and support to Human Capital Management system users.


  • Twoyear college diploma with major course work related to human resources, systems and business.
  • Four years of directly related experience in the Human Resources or Business Analytics field.
  • Highly developed problem solving, business and analysis skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of HCM/HRIS system administration and systems interfaces.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and standards of human resource administration in assigned area.
  • Knowledge of human capital management systems (HCM/HRIS).
  • Knowledge of database structured query language (SQL) and basic concepts.
  • Knowledge of enterprise level computer software solutions (cloud solutions preferred) pertinent to human resource information.
  • Working knowledge of report writing, testing and data administration.
  • Wellrounded knowledge and skills in Human Resources administration.
  • Able to work independently to convert statistical and quantitative analysis concepts into professional management reports.
  • Integrity in dealing with highly confidential / sensitive information.
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to identify priorities and organize workload to meet deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and query tools
  • Ability to deal with staff at all levels.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Skill in performing accurate data entry.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
  • Skill in problem solving and decision making.
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems and procedures considered an asset.

Remuneration:

$42.26 to $52.82 per hour; $82,720 to $103,400 annually.


Hours of Work:

75 hours biweekly; Monday to Friday; some evening and weekend work may be required.
