Your opportunity:


Reporting to the Assistant Director, Career Education, the Coordinator, Career Peer Programs will be responsible for the overall coordination of the Career Exploration & Education (CxED) Career Peer Program and student colleague engagement initiatives across the unit.


Working with other members of the Career Education team, the Coordinator, Career Peer Programs is responsible for coordinating the work of the Peer Career Advisors and Peer Career Facilitators as well as facilitate core Career Education workshops and programming.

The work of these student staff roles involves co-facilitating workshops, conducting group and individual consultations, providing information referrals to career resources both within U of T and beyond, promoting Career Exploration & Education to campus partners, and assisting with the delivery of career events.


The Coordinator, Career Peer Programs will provide onboarding, training, and ongoing support to the Peer Career Advisors and Peer Career Workshop Facilitators, as well as oversee the day to day service delivery and operational needs of the program.

Working with other members of Career Exploration & Education, the Coordinator, Career Peer Programs will also be responsible for fostering connection and community among student colleagues with CxED, and developing a shared training curriculum for student staff with CxED using a work integrated learning framework.

In collaboration with colleagues across Career Exploration & Education (CxED), the Coordinator, Career Peer Program will engage in four key areas of responsibility:

  • Develop, manage, and assess the Career Peer Program, establishing a high level of service standard in a learner-centered model, while ensuring a meaningful work integrated learning opportunity for student staff
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor student staff members of the Career Peer Program, including coordinating hiring and onboarding, and developing training and ongoing career and professional development experiences for all student colleagues with Career Exploration & Education within a work integrated learning framework
  • Collaboratewith Career Exploration & Education colleagues to identify programs and initiatives that can be supported by peer education and develop and maintain
