Description

The accountant oversees the general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare internal financial statements and other related reports according to the schedule
Preparing monthly reports as per requirements of different financing parties or banks.
Posting general entries and other keeping books up to date as per instruction from external accounts.
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance, especially the bank reconciliation
Payroll, WSIB, and payroll remittance
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to management,
Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable
Provide technical support and advice
Filing T4 and other tax slips for employees.
Filing and reviewing files for GST/HST

Education / Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite knowledge including MS Excel skills
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
Familiarity with the preparation and reporting of financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the monthend/yearend close process
Handson experience with accounting software packages
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
QuickBooks Desktop Must.
Language preference (Hindi and Punjabi)
