Lab Supervisor - (Allan, SK, CA)

This position will report to the Chief Metallurgical Engineer.

What you will do:

Supervise a team of lab technicians and metallurgical technicians
Engage the team to continuously improve safety
Ensure personnel are trained in their job duties
Manage resources and schedules during planned and unplanned absences
Guide team work priorities and backlog
Prepare statistical and test reports on analytical processes as required
Recommend the alteration or modification to existing systems, provide technical advice to personnel for improving maintenance and operating efficiency
Continuously improve the lab QA/QC program and ensure stewardship by team
Lead product quality program through audits and investigations
Provide ongoing formal and informal job feedback to direct reports
Other duties as assigned

What you will bring:

Degree in Chemistry or a Diploma in Metallurgic/Chemical Technology
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a laboratory or mineral processing
Demonstrated team leadership and communication skills
Excellent user of MS office software including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Proficient in laboratory QA/QC practices
Potash sample preparation and analysis is an asset
