Hybrid Work Model
This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the opportunity to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus.

We are seeking a
Human Resources Consultant
to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.**The Human Resources (HR) Consultant is a trusted business partner to clients across the organization, providing evidence based strategic advice, consultation, and guidance.


The role supports the achievement of business outcomes by advising and supporting leaders on all aspects of the employment relationship including employee and labour relations, organizational design, classification, talent planning, performance management, leave and disability management.

The HR Consultant develops and administers HR programs and initiatives that support the Corporation's strategic objectives.

What do you need to succeed?:

Must have**- Post secondary education in human resources or a related field.

  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Three years of recent human resource experience in an advisory role within a large, complex, union organization that includes:
  • Providing evidence based strategic human resources advice to clients on HR best practices and HR trends that align with corporate strategies and objectives.
  • Providing consultation, advice and support to senior managers and supervisors that may include some of the following (i.e. employee and labour relations, grievances, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, classification, talent planning, absence management and sick leave).

Nice

  • Organization design experience
  • Employee and labour relations experience
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred.
