Description

We are looking for a Food Nutrition Analyst who is interested in caloric measurement and nutritional value breakdown for the menu offering.

This person must be trained in macronutrient calculations, portion sizing and measurements. The applicant must show proof of schooling once shortlisted for the role. A non disclosure agreement will be required at the time of joining. This is a contract position requiring this person at North York Commissary duration of minimum 2 months with the potential for ongoing renewal

Job Duties

Provide the Nutritional details charts for all of our menu items.
Provide guidelines on the nutritional benefits of the recipes/menu.
Evaluate food products and determine the nutritional breakdown that should be listed on food labels.
Highlight any potential allergens that may affect consumers.
Carry out macronutrient calculations, portion sizing and measurements.
Examine existing food products to ensure the nutritional information is accurate and current.
Write clear, concise and detailed instructions, ingredient lists, macronutrient calculations, portion sizing, measurements as well as any necessary variations or substitutions.
Perform other duties assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in food science, nutrition, or a related field, or a similar field.
35 years experience in a similar role.
Must be trained in macronutrient calculations, portion sizing and measurements.
Experience with food safety regulations and compliance.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent organization skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
