Summary:

We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee business assets and operational staff.

This pivotal role ensures efficient workflows and systems within the yard, logistics, and at the contractor desk, oversee inventory management, safety, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Leadership: Lead and manage teams, focusing on accountability, strong leadership, and people skills.
  • Strong systems skillset: Ability to manage data and system processes within an ERP and point of sale system within a building materials or lumber yard environment.
  • Efficiency: Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet operational targets.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure highquality standards to meet customer expectations.
  • Budget Oversight: Assist in budgeting and managing costs.
  • Inventory Optimization: Analyze space for efficient inventory management.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews and make HR decisions in collaboration with the COO.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Innovation: Explore new logístical innovations for enhanced facility performance.
  • Safety: Maintain a safe working environment in Operations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of the building materials industry.
  • Motivation and Adaptability: Be motivated and adaptable, working independently or as part of a team.
  • Additional Duties: Perform daytoday operational tasks and assignments as required.
  • Profound experience and knowledge in building materials and lumber.
  • Ability to establish workflows within ERP and point of sale systems.
  • Prior experience in successfully managing all aspects of a lumber retail operation.
  • Proven contractor desk supervisory background with a focus on exceptional service and customer relationships.
  • Effective problemsolving skills, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to make timely and responsible decisions, even under pressure.
  • Proactive and initiativedriven in team and independent work.
  • Comfortable in a fastpaced, evolving environment.
  • Proficient in operating various equipment.
  • Indepth understanding of Calgary and its surrounding communities.
  • Selfdriven with high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Skilled in professional and respectful interaction with all stakeholders.
  • Upholds a positive appearance and promotes Remuda's positive image through courteous and professional service, internally and externally.

Salary:
$100,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
