- Lead a team of 2-5 personnel on environmental/civil construction sites.
- Take the initiative in achieving daily and weekly job site goals.
- Demonstrate respectful leadership skills in both team delegation and adhering to directions from project managers/clients.
- Read and understand construction plans and documents.
- Work in conjunction with biologists and environmental monitors to effectively conduct works in environmentally sensitive areas.
- Demonstrate Civil Construction Skills, which may include:
- Safely work on steep and uneven terrain
- Shoot grade and understand elevations, GPS etc.
- Pipefitting
- Linear infrastructure installation
- Utilities installation
- Trenching
- Subgrade preparation and compaction
- Working with, in, and around heavy equipment
- Understand ground compaction and soil mechanics
- Heavy equipment operation

Environmental construction utilizes the same skills present to most qualified and experienced civil construction personnel.
