Reporting to the Senior Manager, D2C Operations & Communications, the Regional Retail Manager is responsible for achieving the sales & store profitability targets for the Lindt Canada Retail Chocolate Shops within a specific region, consisting of multiple stores.
This person will be a highly influential Brand Ambassador for Lindt Canada, with strong motivational skills, taking great strides to ensure an exceptional customer and employee experience at Lindt Retail Shops by providing a high level of leadership, support and direction to the Retail Store Management Teams.
Responsibilities:
Achieving Sales & Profitability Targets
- Develop and implement a Region Specific plan to achieve sales & profitability targets
- Holds self, and team, to high standards of achieving results; coach & motivate teams on performance, providing regular recognition of contributions to Lindt Retail's performance
- Analyze data regularly, deliver clear conclusions and actions to a diverse audience of senior leaders, peers and subordinates; provides executive business updates quarterly
- Actively advocate for all Lindt Retail sales formats, contributing to maximizing business potential for all of D2C
- Oversee the implementation of merchandising initiatives and promotional activity to directive at the stores while maintaining brand presentation standards and increasing brand equity
- Uphold the values of exemplary customer service through modeling of behavior and establishing appropriate guidelines
- Review and analyze the top sellers & sell through reporting to support stores and cross functional teams with analysis and suggestions in order to contribute to increased sales in the stores
- Ensure the operational activities of Retail Shops in the specified region are implemented to expectation, including Administration, Operational Processes, Health & Safety
- Act as a resource to existing Retail Store Managers in the region for matters related to product information, merchandising standards, operations guidelines, inventory control practices
- Ensure instore execution is consistent in standards on company process, policies, procedures, merchandising principles, selling strategies and position responsibilities.
- Support activities related to new store openings, renovations, and store closures; assume leadership of store opening/closing process during Store Setup process, partnering with partners in merchandising, training and operations
- Provide regular feedback, and collaborate with cross functional partners to overcome business impacting challenges
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes & efficiencies for Retail Store teams, as well as cross functional teams; ensure compliance with all laws and regulations in the areas of health, safety, labour and employment, as well as any applicable company policies, guidelines, and procedures; communicate all pertinent Company information to Stores
- Develop & implement plans for recruitment & retention of High Calibre leaders, ensuring role vacancies never exceed 3 weeks for key roles
- Train, coach, develop, motivate and inspire Retail teams to ensure high level of engagement which includes providing a safe, healthy inclusive work environment
- Assist in identifying and development of high potential instore talent, seeking opportunities for internal advancement
- Establish internal and external succession plans
- Drive accountability with the store management team on sales goals and budget management to achieve plan with regular reviews of the P&L and appropriately managing costs (payroll, supplies, maintenance etc.)
- Seek and provide regular feedback and coaching to Store Management teams on behaviors
- Partner with Recruitment, providing regular feedback on market conditions, and collaborating to achieve hiring & retention goals
- Coach and address with urgency performance concerns within region; partner with HR on employee relations matters
- Seek opportunity for self leadership development
Qualifications:
- 5 years retail management experience; previous experience managing locations in a multiunit environment is a strong asset
- Postsecondary education in hospitality, retail or related discipline
- Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to lead diverse teams to deliver tangible results
- Motivated, and passionate about creating a customer centric culture of excellence
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills
- Ability to establish and maintain trust and support of management and colleagues
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to lead teams remotely, ensuring consistency in execution
- Ability to analyze data, including P&L statements
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft, Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of POS system
