Position Summary:
Under direction of the Support Services Manager, provides leadership to the maintenance team that
- includes prioritizing, assigning, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance activities at the sites in their Group. Performs highly
- skilled and complex maintenance and repair duties in accordance with accepted standards and procedures to ensure that the
- physical plant and related systems function in a safe, efficient and effective manner. Prepares scopes of work and liaises with
- external contractors and Capital Projects team for site upgrades. Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
Minimum of a 5th class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency or Building Operator's A Certificate of

  • Competency. Current Certification with ABSA.
  • A recognized trade would be an asset. Must possess a valid Alberta Driver's License.

Additional Required Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)
Experience Triaging Maintenance Requests.

Experience Leading a team.

Proven ability using Microsoft Products.

Must have critical thinking skills and be able to diffuse and control problematic situations.

An understanding of automation controls including airflow commands, fan switching, point memos and operator commands is required.

Demonstrate ability to manage contractors in a professional manner.


Preferred Qualifications:


Extensive knowledge in one or more of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, sterilizer equipment, nurse call systems and automated building systems is an asset.

Aerial work platform, fall protection, CPR, as well as proficient computer skills is an asset. Demonstrate knowledge of the various emergency codes used by Carewest. 4th Class Power engineer.

Experience:
Minimum 4 to 6 years experience in physical plant operations including preventative maintenance programs
- required. Proven technical skills. Ability to troubleshoot complex systems. Prior experience with a computerized building
- management system an asset. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required. Basic computer skills are required for daily
- use of the AHS e
  • Facilities system.

Rate of Pay:
$ $35.72

BW Hours: 77.50
