Genaiz is looking for a Chief Technology Officer to join its executive leadership team and lead technology efforts across the organization.
In this/her role, you will be in charge of the organization's technical and product vision of the company and manage the company's R&D department.
As CTO, you will examines the short- and long-term needs of an organization and utilizes capital to make investments designed to help the organization reach its objectives. This role will report to CEO/president, sit on the senior leadership team and participate in Management Meetings.
Responsibilities:
- End to end product and technology strategy in alignment with the company's objectives.
- Strategically guide the technical vision for the organization
- Recruit, grow, nurture, and retain our engineering, research and development & infrastructure teams
- Analyze target markets, and create product and business models to address the market opportunity
- Identify and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
- Identify technology collaboration opportunities that can accelerate the time to market and company growth.
- Constructively critique, refine and improve the strategic direction of the company, in collaboration with other leaders of the organization to ensure technology initiatives and
- Ensure our products, systems and processes meet all security and privacy regulations and requirements.
- Ensure that engineering resources meet the company's short and longterm needs.
- Cultivate a pipeline of diverse and highquality talent.
- Manage technology budgets and timeframes for delivery.
- Ensure product reliability, availability, accessibility, security and integrity
- Coach and mentor team members for personal growth and performance.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or Principal Engineer in a SaaS environment, managing and leading engineering teams or R&D team, with a track record of
environment
- Experience in Artificial intelligence (an asset)
- A "player coach" able to move from deeply technical conversations on the pros/cons of various technical solutions with the team to a highlevel discussion with clients or
- Experience working for Startup organizations
- Experience working in high growth organizations
- Experience recruiting and retaining elite teams and unlocking their full potential.
- A track record of providing direct and constructive feedback and helping employees develop their skills and careers
- Proven strategic thinker with strong business acumen and an eye for efficiency and judicious use of resources.
- Excellent communicator with strong client and board facing presentation skills.
- A consensus builder and team player with proven track record of trust and transparency open to input, ideas, and feedback from clients, peers, subordinates and other members
- Ability to motivate teams and inspire confidence.
