Opportunity
AIMCo's Legal Services department has an opportunity for a first
- or second-year law student. We are a small team of in-house professionals who believe on-the-job training is an effective way to contribute to educating the next generation in the changing world. The student will assist the Legal Services team in the execution of assigned tasks based on the individual's experience and educational background.


Responsibilities

  • Assisting with investment transactions
  • Reviewing and updating minute books and corporate records
  • General contract review
  • Supporting members of the Legal Services Department in responding to various internal client requests
  • Legal research and drafting of legal memoranda
  • Completion of first
- or second-year law at a Canadian University

  • Must be returning to full time academic studies in Fall 202
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organization and problemsolving abilities
  • Strong research, analytical and problemsolving abilities
  • Thrives under pressure and enjoys contributing to team goals and collaborating
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to AIMCo's core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity and collaboration, and inspires the same in others

Success Measures

Success at the end of your term will be determined by the undertaking and completion of specified daily tasks while collaborating alongside the team, sharing your ideas and contributing to several ongoing projects.
