At the Ottawa Network for Education (ONFE), we fuel kids and ignite learning, making sure all children in Ottawa have an equal start every day.

ONFE is a charitable organization that collaborates with partners from education, business, government, and the community to develop enriching programs for K-12 students.

Working with the four public school boards, ONFE supports children and youth in English and French.

No other community organization has the same reach and ability to respond and deliver much-needed programs to schools across the region.


Marketing Coordinator


We are looking for a self-motivated, detail oriented, highly organized Marketing Coordinator to support in executing the Ottawa Network for Education's strategic marketing and communications plans and maintaining the annual content calendar.

The role involves assisting in the development of marketing strategies and campaigns, creating and organizing content, and ensuring the effectiveness of marketing materials and communication efforts.

This position will report to the Director, Marketing and Communications.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the development and execution of the strategic marketing plan and annual content calendar in alignment with ONFE's objectives.
  • Help maintain and reinforce key messages for ONFE's programs, events, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of effective marketing strategies and campaigns to engage new and existing ONFE stakeholders.
  • Assist in the design and production of ONFE publications and support the writing of compelling copy for strategic communications including press releases.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of videos, photos, and graphics for use in ONFE marketing and campaign collaterals.
  • Support the maintenance of the ONFE website, ensuring program content is uptodate.
  • Help coordinate services with key providers including web support, design, printing, advertising, and video creation.
  • Provide administrative and project support for marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in developing datadriven campaigns and strategies to increase awareness of ONFE.
  • Support government relations efforts as needed
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events
  • Inspire, promote, and support ONFE fundraising and marketing initiatives with key stakeholders, internal and external to ONFE.

Required Skills/Experience:


  • Strong writing and content creation skills.
  • Familiar with Canva or other graphic design programs.
  • Proficient in the use of social media.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when required.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer aptitude and proficiency.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline.
  • 12 years of progressive experience in fundraising and/or marketing.
  • Satisfactory Police Record Check in alignment with ONFE's Conditions of Employment Policy.
  • Driver's license, and access to a reliable motor vehicle with insurance coverage that has no policy restrictions for work related driving. Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

Hybrid Work:

ONFE offers a hybrid work environment, which requires work both in the office and remote.

This is a permanent part-time position. You will be working 15 hours per week during core business hours. Remuneration is $20-$25/per hour.
