Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job description


Ascent Transport is looking for an experienced full time Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to repair and maintain gas and diesel engines and heavy-duty construction equipment.

Regular maintenance services, CVIP inspections, and trailer repair will be part of regular routines. We are a licensed AMVIC shop in Nisku, AB.


Requirements:


  • Must hold a H.E.T. Journeyman's certificate with Red Seal. Will consider a H.E.T. On-Highway Journeyman with Red Seal or registered apprentices.
  • 3 years experience as a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic.
  • Must be proficient with computers.
  • Possess valid class 5 driver's license. *(Class 1 or 3 with airbrakes considered an asset).
  • Acceptable Drivers Abstract *(Personal & Commercial)
  • Commercial Vehicle License an asset
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally, in writing and electronically.

Position Salary

Salary:
$35.00-$48.00 per hour

  • Journeyman/Trade Certificate (preferred)
