Description
Responsibilities:
- Act as a facilitator in communications, in the resolution of issues between management and employees,
- Assist in the execution of talent management processes including recruiting & staffing, performance management, employee development, training, and succession planning.
- Assists in providing strategic HR counsel and driving the company's HR practices.
- Assist in the evaluation of current HR practices and makes recommendations for contemporary HR issues.
- Assists in driving a high level of employee engagement.
- Assists in the execution of labor and employee relations activities that drive productivity and efficiency.
- Assists in providing labor relations counsel throughout the organization and assists with grievance administration
- Be a positive and proactive company and employee advocate. Assists in the administration of employee benefit and compensation programs and other HR company initiatives as required.
- Partner with current HR Manager to coordinate, HR requisition and processes, maintaining employee files and performance plan tracking and record keeping.
- Compiling and reporting HR information such as headcount, workplace accidents, turnover, etc.
- Work closely with management /employees to identify, counsel, and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and mutually beneficial manner.
- Responsible for creating offer letters, change forms, and internal transfer paperwork and employment letters.
- Update and maintain employee records using HRIS (BambooHR) which includes New Hire Paperwork, training records, etc. Maintain benefit system information for employee enrollment, termination, transfers, FT/PT status changes, life changes, etc.
- Develops and updates job descriptions and job specifications
- Preparing new employee files on a daily basics

Qualifications
- HR Certificate/ & or Diploma or relevant field
- Additional HR training will be a plus
- Understanding of general HR policies and procedures
- Deep understanding of Labor Law and Employment equity regulations will be a plus
