Overview:


Duties:


  • Drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service to lumber dealers and retail flooring stores in the assigned territory/market within Edmonton and the surrounding regions.
  • Develop strong business relationships with existing and potential customers with the goal of creating new business opportunities for Goodfellow's products and services.
  • Engage with current and potential customers through a range of communication channels, including phone calls, inperson meetings, and compelling presentations.
  • Craft clear and effective written proposals and quotations that effectively communicate the organization's value proposition.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer issues to ensure their ongoing loyalty.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical service teams to align sales efforts and optimize customer engagement.
  • Assess the market potential of the territory and evaluate the value of both current and prospective customers to the organization.
  • Create and implement a customer value plan for existing customers that identifies their profile, share and potential value opportunities.
  • Identify the unique advantages of the organization's products and services and compare them with those of competitors.
  • Formulate and execute personalized sales strategies that maximize the return on time investment in the assigned territory or market.
  • Provide management with comprehensive oral and written reports on customer needs, interests, challenges, competitive activities, and emerging opportunities for new products and services.
  • Collaborate and participate in trade shows and conventions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Relevant experience in sales, customer service or related field
  • Outstanding skills in customer service and issue resolution
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of
    Microsoft Suite of tools
  • Experience with an
    ERP system would be an asset (i.e., EPICOR, SAP)
  • Ability to multitask, analyze, prioritize and operate with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills
