  • Reporting to the ERP Manager, Delivery Management and Operations, the SAP Functional Analyst will support Business Unit's use of HRM's SAP integrated systems for defined business processes designed to support HRM's operational and strategic goals. The SAP Functional Analyst has extensive knowledge of SAP best practices, business processes, configuration, data models, reporting and system integration.
The SAP Functional Analyst will be proficient in SAP's methodologies and tools, and will be HRM's technical expert in one or more of the following areas:


  • SAP ECC (Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), Plant Maintenance (PM), Real Estate (RE), Workflow (WF), Payroll, and Benefits)
  • S/4 HANA (Finance, Tax and Revenue Management)
  • SuccessFactors (Employee Central, Recruiting and Onboarding, and Learning Management
  • Kronos Time and Attendance

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work closely with IT, Business Stakeholders, Business Analysts and Business Unit staff to understand operations, business processes and priorities, use of technologies, master data, etc.
  • Provide expertise in identifying, evaluating, and implementing SAP solutions to help solve complex business issues or enhance service delivery.
  • Respond to inquiries from various business stakeholder groups.
  • Collaborate with AMS Vendors providing Tier 3 support
  • Process enhancement requests from Business Units, describing the desired change, recommended solution, impacts of the change, associated risks, effort, cost, time frame to implement, date of implementation, results and bring service requests to closure.
  • Coordinate with thirdparty service and software solution providers to resolve issues and test system changes.
  • Participate in phases of IT development and SAP life cycle (as appropriate) using the HRM's project management methodology.
  • Participate in the creation of project related documentation including business case, project charter, requirements, detailed plans, presentations, scope change requests, etc.
  • Help shape the solution/technical design of sustainable business processes.
  • Communicate with IT staff and management regarding progress and readiness for changes in technology.
  • Provide postimplementation support and enhancement services for SAP implementations.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships and communications with Business Unit stakeholders and other organizations external to HRM.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:


  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with at least one enterprisewide SAP implementation as a core project team member.
  • Experience working with cloudbased solutions (e.g., Software as a Service
  • SaaS).
  • Presentation and training experience.
  • Experience with user documentation and technical writing.
  • Experience with testing processes such as test planning, script documentation, and various testing types (functional, UAT, negative, regression, integration).
  • Experience testing and validating solution configuration.
  • Experience on delivery or implementation projects, managing, time, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Experience with analytical and performance measures methods such as process mapping and business process reengineering.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain ITIL Foundation certification within six months of their date of hire.

Technical / Job Specific Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Solid background and understanding of Application/Solutions/Systems architecture and system design concepts.
  • Detailed knowledge of SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, SuccessFactors and/or SAP Cloud software.
  • Knowledge of other SAP modules such as Asset Management, Asset Accounting, Project Systems, Learning Management, Recruiting, Onboarding, etc.
  • Understanding of system integration points within and outside SAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage enterprise wide information systems implementations and integration in a government environment or similar work situation.
  • Business orientation, including broad experience in service delivery and support in a multi departmental business environment and/or the public sector.
  • Understanding of the System Development Life Cycle, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Change Management, Release Management, and Application Management.
  • Experience in understanding Customer needs, defining business requirements, identifying risks, and determining options.
  • Proven ability to foster and manage strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and ability to work with both technical and nontechnical staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Consensus building, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills.
