Asahi Refining is a metal refinery located in Brampton close to highway 410 and Steeles Avenue. We have
2 job openings for the Refinery Operator position.

What this job involves:


  • Operation of induction furnaces.
  • Buffing, grinding, and cleaning of finished product.
  • Cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment.
  • Transporting large barrels of batch process material using material handling equipment several times per shift.
  • Repetitive manual scooping of material from cells.
  • Monitoring and treating large chemical batch processes.
  • Heavy repetitive lifting of up to 60lbs on a frequent basis.
  • Perform work in a safe manner, Wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs other jobrelated tasks as required.

What we are looking for:


  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing / production environment performing physical / manual work.
  • Production Environment performing physical work: 1 year (required)
  • Previous experience working with molten metals within a melting, foundry or casting environment preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 60lbs on a continuous basis.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons and nights) and weekends as required.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Must be comfortable working within a hot environment and wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Experience driving a forklift is an asset.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with team members.

From $21.60 per hour
