FORKLIFT OPERATOR
MORNING SHIFT (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM)


AURORA LOCATION

Job Summary:

The Forklift Drivers reports directly to the Business/Plant Director. Most functions are carried out in support of Customer Service, Purchasing and Inventory Management.


General Responsibility:


The general responsibility of the Forklift Driver is to ensure that orders are shipped out on time, according to the system picking lists and without any damages.

All trailers are filled daily and product received is put away properly and counted.


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Assist other shippers to ensure that they are performing their duties as required
  • Ensure finished products are put away on floor or shunt truck undamaged
  • Ensure finished products are shipped complete and undamaged
  • Ensure all trucks are properly inspected and documented
  • Ensure all forklifts are running properly
  • Ensure all forklifts are inspected daily
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety guidelines
  • Performs other functions as required.
  • Ensure receiving paperwork is verified

Back-up:

Other forklift drivers and the Lead Hands


Education/ Experience:


  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid forklift license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Able to read, write and speak English.
  • Able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Flexibility, high energy and passion are required.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse range of people
