Job Summary

The Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Trial Corporate, is engaged be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient-care-related activities within the Clinical Trials Department, in accordance with the Southlake Regional Health Centre vision, mission, and values.

Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelors Degree required, Health Sciences, Nursing preferred
  • Five to ten years recent and relevant clinical experience required.
  • Experience in research methodologies, trial protocol requirements including ethical conduct and standard operating procedures.
  • Minimum of three years recent and relevant leadership experience in a health care setting;
  • Advanced knowledge of the regulatory environment in Clinical Research, including, but not limited to,
  • ICH-GCP Guidelines
  • Privacy Legislation
  • Health Canada Clinical Trial Applications (CTA)
  • Health Canada Food & Drug Regulations
  • Division
  • Health Canada Inspections Procedures
  • Tri-Council Policy
  • Demonstrated knowledge/evidence of CRF and eCRF completion and ethics/regulatory submissions
  • Professional affiliations as appropriate

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the organization and coordination of clinical research trials and efficient patient recruitment within the clinical trials portfolio.
  • Establish strong relationships with study sponsors and promote the clinical trials program at the Southlake Regional Health Centre to ensure continuous growth.
  • Lead the team in implementing evidencebased practices that are sensitive to limited resources with a patientcentered
- care philosophy.

  • Will liaise with members of the interprofessional team to ensure excellence in patient care through monitoring standards of care and patient outcomes.
  • Be a role model for professional and organizational core competencies.
  • Confirms the clinical trials personnel follows standards of practice in study protocols
  • Promotes an environment that encourages change and performs as a key change agent utilizing the clinical team.
  • Maintains a portfolio of clinical trials for which he/she is responsible
