Symphony Senior Living is currently seeking a Hungry, Humble and Smart leader to join our management team as Admissions Coordinator at our Forest Valley Terrace, Orleans location. Forest Valley Terrace is a private all-memory care community dedicated to providing support for residents with mild dementia to end of life care.
We have three neighborhoods:
The Terrace for mild dementia and lots of wandering space and activities; Moments for those that need a smaller environment with higher staff ratio for constant redirection or care and Sorority an all-female neighborhood for those residents more comfortable among members of the same gender.
You should be ambitious and driven in your pursuit to assist residents and families find the best services and accommodation to meet their needs. Our most successful team members in this position, are driven to understand our potential customers needs, love meeting new people and find success in a smooth move in and hand over to operations. They are creative in their approaches to referral sources and rejection is just a minor hurdle to over come. They must be VERY comfortable with; cold calls - in person and on the phone, health care situations, hospital visits, calling on doctor's offices and learning new approaches to helping serve seniors and their loved ones.
This position requires you to be in good standing with the College of Nurses as at minimum a Registered Practical Nurse OR have completed a Social Worker degree OR a Current or retired Registered Nurse. This is not a 9-5 Monday to Friday desk job - you will be active and responding to inbound inquires 24/- that said, you also get flexibility of a manager to work your schedule around the needs of the potential customers, the business and yourself - for example you may have moved a desperate loved one in on a Friday night from hospital, but then take a Wednesday morning to attend a special event at the school for your child.

Specific Job Qualifications:
- A current Registered Practical Nurse OR have completed a Social Work bachelor's degree OR a current or retired Registered Nurse.
- Calm and mature perspective with +5 years experience in a management role preferred.
- This position is
not part of the community manager on duty (MOD) rotation for weekends; but is expected to work around inquiries and move ins suitable to the resident and family and this may involve some weekend or evening work. - A desire to actively understand and HELP others: we don't pressure "sell" we Help and Serve families, residents and loved ones.
- Comfortable with cold calling, phone and in person follow up, medical situations, hospitals and clinics, seniors, and dementia.
- Computer skills are a
MUST:
for updating CRM leads, excel and other basic reporting.
- Social Media presence and skills are a must we will train, you but using Facebook as a family and friends communicator is important.
- Must be in good physical and mental shape as this job can be both physically and mentally demanding and may involve situations were as part of a team you will be expected to cover emergency situations.
- You must own a car and have a valid drivers license as this position requires driving to hospitals and networking sites.
In addition:
- You must read, write, and speak English well.
- You must have at least two shots of the Covid Vaccine and be willing and able to work through any future pandemics.

Compensation:
This position is paid a base pay of $50,000 annually and a very healthy sales commission.
Our commission is one of the highest in the industry and a typical year you can plan on earning an additional $15,000-$25,000 a year.
With the opening of our Sorority neighborhood this year should be a very strong commission year.
We also pay mileage for use of your vehicle, provide a cell phone and computer and have an excellent 100% paid benefit program including an RRSP.
