One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.


The primary focus of this position is to provide leadership and support for the work of the Consumption and Treatment Services (CTS) Team.

The (CTS) Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality harm reduction services, in keeping with the principles of client centered, collaborative care.

This position has a competitive salary and the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum of 2 years mental health and addictions experience, supervisory and program coordination experience is an asset.
  • Broad knowledge in the areas of harm reduction, mental health and addictions, social determinants of health and health promotion.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills within an interprofessional model of care.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate conflict and manage risk.
  • Capacity to deescalate situations and finding constructive ways to resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a clientcentred approach.
  • Strong organizational, administrative and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
  • Experience in working effectively with culturally and economically diverse populations.
  • Ability to develop relations that enhance pathways to harm reduction care.
  • Knowledge and experience of trauma and complex grief and loss.
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particularly within populations who face barriers to accessing care (under housed, living with mental health diagnosis or diagnoses, current or past substance use, complex health histories, 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers, noninsured).
  • Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CRC).
  • A current driver's license and access to a vehicle.
