    The Lead National Portfolio Specialist plays a critical role in positively affecting individual portfolio results through responsible leadership and technical direction.

    Utilizes data analytics methods in decision making with respect to product wordings, guidelines, endorsements, pricing and case referrals. Enhancing efficiency and portfolio performance utilizing data analytics and optimization.


    Continuously acquiring and enhancing knowledge to ensure the delivery of competitive client centric business solutions by maintaining high quality market intelligence.

    Leads the development and formulation of business rules, underwriting guidelines, appetite, and philosophy for the Commercial portfolio.

    Represent the Commercial product portfolio as a Subject matter expert on Product training initiatives for Distribution and Underwriting

    Active analysis for assigned portfolio with accountability for recommendations to identify opportunities for growth and profitability improvement. Effectively manages and prioritizes multiple business initiatives, projects and adhoc analysis with key stakeholders. Provides leadership and direction for projects that impact the portfolio.

    You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions.

    You have a post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Mathematics, Data Analytics or any other relevant field.
    Holding the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is required. Holding the FCIP is an asset.

    Having good understanding of the commercial product coverages, pricing, exposure identification and external/internal factors that impact it is an asset.

    Having thorough knowledge of policy wordings, endorsements, rate manuals, Insurance Acts/legislation (Common Law and Civic Code of Quebec) and tools and systems is an asset.

    This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English.
