Position Title:
Screening Machine Operator

Reports To:
Plant Supervisor - Window Screens and Patio Doors

Location:
Vaughan, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain an automated CNC screening machine to install screen mesh into patio door screen frames.
Trim away excess screen mesh after the machine cycle is complete.
Certain screens may require manual mesh installation due to size or configuration.
Check manufactured screens for defects and conformance to specifications.
Maintain daily production logs and other necessary paperwork.
Other window and patio door screen assembly and finishing duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Work overtime as required.
Experience operation of CNC machines is an asset.
Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
Ability to stand for extended periods and complete repetitive tasks.
Some walking to transport orders via dolly/cart.
Ability to bend, crouch and lift items as required, up to 100lbs.
Must be able to read a tape measure in both metric and imperial and use basic math skills.
Good arm strength and reach to work with oversized screen doors.
Experience in the local window & door industry is an asset.
Applicants with prior screening experience will be highly considered.
Lean Manufacturing experience and knowledge is an asset.
