Distribution Business Lead . This a temporary role ending December 31, 2025 and is based in
Markham, ON Canada .


The Distribution Business Lead is the conduit between the end-to-end Johson & Johnson team and our 3 rd Party Logistics Provider.

This role optimizes our operational efficiency, improves our cycle time, and drives cost improvements while ensuring product is delivered promptly to meet the needs of our customer and patients.

Responsibilities include all aspects of compliance and distribution quality for cold chain, narcotics, and ambient storage.


Responsibilities:


  • Manages operations with 3PL for all inbound and outbound activities for the respective business sectors including ontime shipping, ontime receiving and ontime returns in collaboration with the endtoend teams to meet customer service commitments.
  • Connects with supply chain and commercial business partners to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive cost improvements, operation performance (critical metrics attainment) and reliability.
  • First point of contact for urgent issues in the daytoday distribution operations, taking prompt action and escalating appropriately ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Coordinate distribution operation activities for new business growth opportunities (new product introductions, divestitures and acquisitions).
  • Collaborates with QA to ensure operations meet the standards for the relevant business sector including, but not limited to, quality investigations and resolutions of quality issues (CAPAs).
  • Partners crossfunctionally to ensure that related systems are maintained, and issues identified, escalated, and resolved promptly.
  • Effectively manage suppliers to meet service and budget requirements.
  • Partner with finance to support business planning, financial reporting, and ensure SOX compliance.

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma required; Business Degree (preferred)
  • Plog designation or working towards an asset.
  • Cross sector / industry experience an asset
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience in ERP systems
  • Project management experience an asset
  • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and asset
