What we are looking for:


The Corporate Services Quality Assurance Associate acts a resource and facilitator within the Facilities and Corporate Service Portfolio, reports directly to Senior Director, Facilities and Corporate Services.

This position works closely with Corporate Services department Managers, Supervisors, frontline staff and Coordinators on day to day operations.

Quality Assurance activities and duties are as assigned and include but are not limited to:
Supporting new hire unit orientation, contractor training and ongoing staff training;
Ensuring best practices and effective use of tools, safety devices and resources;
Conducting service audits and inspections to ensure standards are met;
Creating audit tools
Creating, reviewing, maintaining, and providing recommendations for policies and procedures;
Leading Quality Improvements initiatives including collaboration with front line staff on reviewing job routines and improving patient outcomes
Compiling and analyzing statistics and key metrics;
Leadership rounding
Monitoring and analyzing the performance of assigned support services systems to provide reports for appropriate leads; and
Acting as a liaison and facilitator for clients, management, staff and vendors.
Streamline processes using Lean methodology


What you bring to the role:

Completion of a Community College Diploma in a related field or equivalent support service experience with a focus on quality improvements and best practices.

Previous experience within a support service environment, healthcare preferred
Strong problem solving & data analytic skills; detailed-oriented
Previous training experience including the development of training programs is preferred
Experience facilitating sessions with staff and management
Thorough working knowledge of environmental legislation, OH&S standards, infection control guidelines and WHMIS
Knowledge PIDAC cleaning standards
OHA diploma in Housekeeping an asset
Excellent, strong computer skills including proficiency with Meditech and Microsoft Office (Excel & Power point)
Web design preferred
Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to work independently
Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and conflict management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills following relevant process and policy
Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
