Accounting Clerk to join the Finance team.
The Accounting Clerk will provide support to the finance team, primarily focusing on the accounts payable, filing accounting documents, and maintaining a systematical profile of customers and vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Enter data and verify information for accuracy
- File and label documents for storage and retrieval
- Review vendor invoices for proper coding and obtain appropriate authorizations
- Enter expense reports and code to the correct job
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Communicate with vendors and internal staff
- Assist the Finance team in sorting, revising, and preparing invoices for clients
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM
- Adaptable to reprioritizing the workload and deadlines
- Comfortable working independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
- Friendly, positive, and cooperative attitude
- Experience with bookkeeping and general accounting is preferred

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
