UCSH is looking for a full time
General Labour, Construction position. This position requires to travel within BC lower mainland (Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam).


WHAT'S THE JOB ABOUT?


Reporting to the On-site Foreperson/Field Installations Manager, the General Labour, Construction position is responsible for assisting Doors & Hardware Installer in any onsite activities, and provide support to the onsite service that includes door hardware installation and troubleshooting.

Some of the work you will do, but not limited to:

  • Assist the Installer to install metal/woodwork door
  • Repair, troubleshoot and retrofit existing openings and products
  • Assist in installing low voltage systems for access control
  • Assist in completing documents on the jobsites
  • Load/move products as required.
  • Comply with all company occupational health and safety policies.
  • Other duties as assigned

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU WHO HAS:

  • Minimum high school diploma and
  • 2 years of experience working in the construction environment
  • Able to work in different environment in a construction site (hot, cold, windy, rainy, snowy, etc.)
  • Able to work at heights
  • Knowledge of doors, frames and hardware is an asset
  • Previous metal/wood door installations experience is an asset
  • Excellent physical condition and coordination to be able to do repetitive and heavy lifting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Required to have some basic hand/power tools experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
