    VICE PRESIDENT, QUALITY ASSURANCE AND FOOD SAFETY

    The VP of Quality Assurance and Food Safety will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our food manufacturing facilities and retail kiosks maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

    This position will oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including product testing, quality control processes, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

    Lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Food Safety team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure that quality objectives are met.

    Establish and maintain quality control processes and systems to monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process, from raw material sourcing to finished product distribution.

    Develop quality assurance and food safety key performance indicators to monitor performance and identify areas of improvement.

    Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Production, Product Development, and Procurement to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance overall product quality and safety.

    Establish and work with Senior Leadership on the annual Quality Assurance and Food Safety budget and ensure adherence throughout the fiscal year.

    Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders to stay informed of regulatory changes and industry trends.

    Lead crisis management and product recall procedures, ensuring timely and effective responses to quality-related issues.

    Drive a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization, fostering a proactive approach to quality assurance and risk management.

    Prepare and present reports on quality performance, trends, and initiatives to senior management and stakeholders.

    Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, and quality assurance trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

    Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field; Minimum of ten years of experience in quality assurance or quality control roles within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.

    Proven track record of developing and implementing quality assurance programs and processes in a food manufacturing environment.
    Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, and GFSI standards (e.g., Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices to enhance product quality and safety.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.

    Experience managing crisis situations, including product recalls and quality-related incidents.
    Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry stakeholders, and external partners.
    Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving quality objectives and driving business success.
