Description

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leads, the Equipment Technician/Administrator Assistant is responsible for ensuring that adequate equipment inventory levels are maintained.

In addition, you will be responsible for LHIN communication and reconciliation of equipment rentals and billing corrections, LHIN error reporting, as well as other internal reports as assigned.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring that the appropriate requisitions are sent by the LHIN
  • Responsible for making calls confirming with patients and/or LHINs regarding the rental of equipment
  • Responsible for arranging pickup times of equipment and/or biowaste with patient
  • Maintain open communication with the logistics team and drivers to ensure that pickups are done on time
  • Maintaining open communication with finance regarding equipment rental billing
  • Following up with missed pickups and rescheduling with patients
  • Following up with patients regarding Preventative Maintenance schedules and arranging Pump Replacements
  • Identifying LHIN errors in relation to the LHIN contracts
  • Manages inventory, documentation, and control of all client equipment including infusion pumps, chargers, poles, and bolus cords.
  • Maintains computer system records of all client equipment locations, usages, maintenance, repairs and returns, etc.
  • Conducts reprocessing of client equipment according to policy to ensure all client equipment is cleaned, safe, and ready for client use.
  • Receives and handles returned client equipment in accordance with infection control standards and policies.
  • Processes medical waste as returned independently or with equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Sunday 8:00am9:00pm
Job Qualification


Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in a customer service or administrative role dealing with large volumes of paperwork
  • Comfortable working making outbound calls and dealing with irate individuals
  • Training as a Bio technician is an asset
  • Training in equipment reprocessing and infection control is an asset

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to understand basic medical terminology.


Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and must be able to perform basic algebraic calculations.
