OVERVIEW


The Porter will be hotel staff with carrier duties as assigned by the floor manager to ensure a fast and timely service for both internal and external customers at Parq Vancouver.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primarily delivering supplies and luggages throughout the second floor of the casino and Salons
  • Assisting servers with clearing tables and maintaining a clean and tidy environment for guests
  • Ensure the Porter station is stocked, cleaned and organized
  • Operate in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Maintain a positive work environment
  • Responsible for providing professional and superior customer service in accordance with established company standards
  • Greet all guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Perform other jobrelated duties, as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to get along well with others in a team environment
  • Able to lift a minimum of 25 LBS
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Committed to promoting a safe work environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Proven superior customer service experience
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate operational needs of a casino environment
  • Friendly, outgoing and professional
  • Has a respectful approach and pleasant demeanor
  • Previous experience in a similar role

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS

  • Serving it Right Certification training will be provided
  • Food Safe Certificate training will be provided

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
  • Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$15.65-$17.00 per hour
