We are a virtual organization and as a remote worker you must be comfortable and able to work 100 per cent of the time from a home office.

To be successful as a remote worker you need to have a self-starter attitude, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and be a proactive communicator.

Having a home office environment that provides for a productive, professional, and safe work environment during regular working/business hours is a requirement of this role.


About the Role

Some of the things you will do every day:

  • Drive sales performance for The Conference Board of Canada's subscription-based products or membership-based products.
  • Lead outbound campaigns to actively promote and sell subscriptionbased product or membershipbased products.
  • Followup and qualify contacts from web registrations, promotions, events and other marketing and sales activities.
  • Use vertical knowledge and industry insights to confidently discuss The Conference Board of Canada's subscriptionbased products or membershipbased products.
  • Research prospective customers to identify contacts and roles with decisionmaking authority.
  • Strategize and collaborate with internal colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Update tracking systems and tools with customer information, sales activities, and opportunity details to use for account planning purposes.
  • Act as an ambassador for The Conference Board of Canada to our clients and provide them with superior worldclass customer experience.
  • Commitment to producing high quality work and demonstrating professional values in all aspects of work and interactions with colleagues and customers.

About You

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Minimum five years' experience in a business customer sales environment.
  • Completion of postsecondary education in business administration, marketing, or sales related discipline.
  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed performance objectives.
  • Advanced communication skills, both orally and written.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Through a combination of experience and natural ability has developed a high degree of competence in:

  • Ability to drive negotiation discussions to work in your favor

  • Ability to travel within Canada.
  • Bilingualism in both English and French is an asset.
  • Having a home office environment that provides for a productive, professional, and safe work environment during regular working hours is a requirement of this role. This includes internet service and a reliable connection.
