  • Coordinates individual giving and community giving by meeting with donor prospects and actively engaging them in a way that is authentic and meaningful; individuals are exceptionally stewarded with the intention to increase philanthropic support to meet development and organizational objectives;
  • Serves as a YWCA mission ambassador by attending events in the community when requested to share YWCA mission impact and encourage involvement;
  • Supports all aspects of the YWCA major gift program including supporting the overall strategy, plan and case for support;
  • Supports the major giving and planned giving pipeline by identifying prospects through total portfolio with a focus of a top 50 identification for individualized stewardship;
  • Achieves revenue, prospect and donor activity targets;
  • Researches major gift prospects using appropriate databases, the internet and other research tools and strategies, and works with the Vice President and Officer to identify, cultivate and solicit major gift prospects;
  • Writes and prepares proposals and solicitation packages and other relevant fundraising materials;
  • Researches, identifies and recommends opportunities to which YWCA Hamilton could be a recipient of funds and manages outreach, proposal development and stewardship/recognition deliverables;
  • Proactively outreaches to, engages and builds meaningful relationships with Hamilton and Halton communities to develop, execute and measure YWCA Hamilton's annual Women of Distinction Awards auction;
  • Serves as the organizational lead for the gifts inkind portfolio in support of YWCA Hamilton programs, services and fundraising campaigns;
  • Works crossdepartmentally to understand program and service needs for gift inkind collections, tracks, inventories and reconciles gifts, and distributes to program areas as needed;
  • Collaborates with Donor Relations Assistant to track all gifts inkind to determine fair market value and ensure donor recognition and stewardship is fulfilled;
  • Serves on relevant campaign, event and planning committees and leads auction and donations outreach;
  • Provides support and leadership while working with the Philanthropy Officer and Vice-President to ensure annual and capital campaign integration with donor communities;
  • Stays up to date on fundraising best practices, corporate and individual giving trends to identify new opportunities and strengthen YWCA's culture of philanthropy;
  • Manages the development, implementation and evaluation of YWCA giving circles including the Turning Point Giving Circle and Smash The Patriarchy monthly giving program;
  • Proactively identifies and cultivates giving circle and monthly giving members to build prospect pipeline while ensuring that stewardship initiatives are fulfilled for all active members to meet circle revenue and engagement targets;
  • Serves as the relationship manager for giving circle and monthly giving program donors and oversees all stewardship and communications deliverables;
  • Manages budgets/expenses related to individual/corporate giving programs including Turning Point Giving Circle, Smash the Patriarchy Club and Legacy Giving;
  • Identifies and recommends enhancements to giving circle and monthly giving initiatives to strengthen engagement, increase revenue and grow circles to support YWCA program and service sustainability;
  • Supports the development, implementation and evaluation of YWCA Hamilton's Legacy Giving portfolio under the guidance of the Philanthropy Officer and Vice President;
  • Develops and implements code of conduct and new ways of engagement to ensure a meaningful and empowering experience for all involved;
  • Works directly with various event and community committees to support YWCA community fundraising and signature events;
  • Provides support to volunteers across departments and works alongside Volunteer Coordinator to identify volunteer needs and ensure a positive volunteer experience;
  • Manages, codes and submits all related invoices in alignment with YWCA Hamilton finance and administration policies;
  • Develops and implements appropriate systems to ensure monitoring of moves management, deliverables, stewardship and initiatives in compliance with work schedules and targets;
