About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Manager of Health Information Services, the Admitting Clerk II is responsible for the total communication system for the hospital by providing prompt and courteous responses to all methods of communication.

(This position consists of 8 and 12 hour rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.) Cross training with Registration and Admitting, including scanning is required.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent plus completion of a recognized office procedure/secretarial program, or 1 year previous clerical/administration experience is required
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Terminology program is required
  • Maintains high degree of confidentiality at all times is required
  • Related hospital exposure is required
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks required
  • Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively and effectively with others
  • Ability and willingness to meet challenges and adapt to changing situations essential
  • An equivalent combination of education and training may be considered for this position
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • No Travel required
