Working closely alongside our Vancouver Plant Manager, as the Assistant Plant Manager you will play a key role in ensuring the successful running of the processing plant.
Your Qualifications
In-depth understanding and knowledge of the Fishing and Marine Industry (Experience on a commercial fishing boat is great too)
3+ years of seafood processing experience in a fast-paced environment, leadership skills would be an asset.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all members of a diverse team.
Budgeting, planning, and resource allocation skills
High accountability with a demonstrated ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, providing hands-on support.
Your Key Responsibilities
Maintain quality standards while devising and implementing new processing procedures.
Ensure that all safety precautions and standards are taken and adhered to
Assist with the logistics of all incoming and outgoing products
Motivate, support and develop plant staff
General maintenance and upkeep of processing equipment
Collect, maintain and analyze production data
Develop production schedules that optimize plant equipment and labour to increase production capacity and decrease costs.

$75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
