The Green Energy Services team at Aecon is bringing energy solutions for residential customers in Canada.

This includes solar rooftop systems, energy storage, EV charging solutions and integration of these devices in the overall residential energy management.

In addition, we are building solutions towards electrification of residential heating and cooling loads to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

For heating and cooling needs, our solutions include the use of Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps (including geothermal loops) and hybrid solutions (where feasible) for both New Build and Retrofit homes.


What You Will Do Here:


  • Manage and oversee the entire lifecycle of EV charging infrastructure projects, from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with utility companies to upgrade existing or install new electric services for EV charging.
  • Utilize your handson construction management experience in the EV or AC Electrical space to effectively lead the construction process.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the electrical craft and National Electrical Code (NEC) & ESA.
  • Successfully manage multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee all aspects of project construction management, including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor contract management, and project documentation.
  • Interpret and understand blueprints, specifications, and other relevant technical documents.
  • Employ effective negotiation and followup skills when interacting with clients.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency when addressing client issues.
  • Display a keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Foster and maintain good working relationships with subcontractors.
  • Leverage your access to multiple trades/subcontractor resources to ensure project success.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude and dedication to delivering highquality services on time and within budget.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • Post secondary education from a construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and onthejob experience is considered an asset.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of civil work experience or as a working Electrician.
  • Licensed Master Electrician or Journeyman certification.
  • Proficient in using MS Office, Outlook, MS Project to organize and track project progress.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Work in a fastpaced environment with mínimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Travel to different job sites when needed, with a breakdown of 50% from the main office/home office, and 50% onsite.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
