Why this role?
- Cohere For AI (C4AI) is the dedicated research arm of Cohere, and our mission is to lower the barriers to entry to machine learning research and support a community of independent research talent across the world. Cohere For AI has both a fulltime research staff which build the next generation of large language models and an open science initiative that support collaborative research across institutions and paths of access for independent researchers.
In this role, you will contribute to Cohere For AI core mission by supporting the lab day-to-day operations, whether that be coordinating the logistics needed to launch new programs or taking ownership of day to day to-do's.
You will work closely with Cohere For AI leads and research staff towards efficient & effective execution across top priorities.
As an Operations Associate, you are a driving force behind your team's logistics coordination and ensure that everything moves forward seamlessly.
This presents a unique opportunity to contribute towards shaping programs and offerings that aim to democratize access to AI research.
Please note:
This is a contract position.
As Operations Associate, you will:
- Coordinate C4AI communitybuilding logistics, from organizing and promoting community events, to curating educational materials, and managing speaker invites and attendees.
- Build relationships with volunteer community leads to collaborate on highquality program delivery, balancing the priorities of the the volunteers with the C4AI mission.
- Proactively anticipate needs and shape educational outreach programming.
- Maintain constant communication and work closely with Cohere leads to efficiently & effectively execute across top priorities.
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have completed a post-secondary degree, with 2+ years of experience in program management, administrative lead, communications, or operations role.
- Are dynamic, highly organized and detailorientated, and take pride in delivering endtoend execution.
- Have excellent endtoend project management skills, with a passion for process improvement.
- Have excellent communication skills and can effectively communicate with a diverse range of audiences.
- Strong writer with the ability to adapt your tone to suit formal and casual relationshipbuilding context equally.
- Have experience designing and implementing new processes and organization structures, and leading and coleading events of different magnitudes.
- Are excited to work closely with senior leadership to execute and take ownership of daytoday todo's.
- Enjoy moving quickly in a changing environment.
- Enjoy taking on varied tasks while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Enjoy communitybuilding and taking ownership of the small details that lead to program success.
- Have a passion for democratizing access to technology.
