- The primary responsibility of the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) is to implement the lead teacher's program and daily activities. If no plan exists, plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program plan.
- Provide constant supervision and prioritize the safety of children; understand and comply with provincial (CCEYA), municipal and Sentient HR policies and procedures.
- Work cooperatively as a team member, encourage others to do likewise, and consistently maintain a positive attitude.
- Complete required documentation of children's development and interactions.
- Report any issues or concerns that may arise in accordance with proper procedures.
- Direct and participate with children in all planned activities.
- Use well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills; establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff, and parents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- An Early Childhood Educator Diploma from a recognized Ontario College.
- Registered (or proof that registration is in process) and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
- Knowledge of AQI, How Does Learning Happen (HDLH), and CCEYA.

As a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), you will be responsible for guiding, teaching, and ensuring the safety of children between infant to school age at centres located in Ottawa, Ontario .
