We are looking for a responsible, dependable, and safe general labourer to work at the concrete plant in Vulcan, AB.

This position will support plant maintenance and precast work to support daily concrete production and delivery.

Responsibilities:

Pour and place concrete forms.
Use chipper or jackhammer to clean dried concrete from fleet vehicles.
Dump ice and other materials into concrete mixtures.
Maintain safe, functional, and operational work environment to ensure smooth operation of the plant.
Transport concrete materials and products to work sites and around the plant.
General housekeeping and yard work as required.
Participate in the safety program by completing daily hazard assessments and identifying unsafe working conditions.
Assist with precast work as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Valid class 5 drivers license.
Clean drivers abstract.
General construction experience
General labourer experience
CSTS Certification is an asset.
WHIMIS training is an asset.
Previous experience working with concrete is preferred.

Hours of Work

Work schedules are dictated by customer demand and typically span from Monday

Saturday. Start and end times may vary and are determined based on customer needs. Drivers typically work long days and must be capable of working overtime, evenings, and weekends. Some nightshifts maybe required.

Physical Demands
The position is physical in nature and requires bending, crawling, crouching, and standing for long periods of time. Materials are heavy and cumbersome. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment drug, alcohol, and fit for work testing as part of the hiring process.
