Regional Warehousing and Distribution Leader - Mississauga, OntarioRegional Warehousing and Distribution Leader
This position will be responsible for leading all operational, warehousing, and supply chain initiatives while driving outstanding customer experience, employee safety and development, and financial performance throughout the region and across multiple sites.
What You Will Do:
- Drives operational, warehousing, and supply chain synergies and efficiencies across multiple sites within region. Develop and manage operationsrelated plans, budgets, policies, and procedures consistent with driving value and high levels of performance on safety, delivery, quality, cost, and productivity.
- Champions opportunities to improve warehouse maturity and continuous improvement by utilizing proven methodologies. Lead and participate in Operational Excellence activities including MDI, Value Stream Mapping, A3 and Rapid Improvement Events.
- Complies with federal, state/provincial, and local EHS, warehousing, material handling, and logistics requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising on required actions.
- Drives a safety culture in which clearly the expectation that all accidents are preventable. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Supports the creation of health and wellbeing activities of all employees.
- Actively participate in strategy formulation and implementation in support, and as a member, of the regional leadership team.
- Ensures controls are in place for inventory management. Execute actions driving towards physical inventory exemption.
- Enhance employee engagement through coaching, training, and development of employees. Fosters growth within the organization and implements succession planning.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain or similar field, MBA preferred
- 710 years of management experience in plant management, warehousing and/or logistics. Must possess significant experience in business and overall operations management
- APICS Certification (CPIM, CPM, or CSCP) a plus
- Ability to travel 25%
- Effective leader with vision and strong communication skills
- Ability to winover and motivate a very tenured team
- Selfmotivation and ability to multitask
- Proactive change agent and a willingness to actively engage in what needs to be accomplished while coaching, mentoring, teaching, and training. Handson leader with the ability to inspire trust and confidence within a matrix environment.
- Balances inventory investment and costs against customer service levels to ensure the highest customer satisfaction levels with an efficient use of assets. This must be accomplished through a good understanding of forecasting, planning, and operational strategies combined with a strong project management and analytical skill sets.
- Ability to use data analysis to help predict problem areas and identify areas of opportunity.
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office, analytical software, and multiple ERP platforms
