Your day-to-day activities will include:


  • Matching vendor invoices with corresponding PO's/packing slips
  • Coding & posting expenses in the system; ensuring proper approvals are in place
  • Followingup on any coding & invoicing discrepancies
  • Proper filing of all related paperwork and replying to all A/P inquiries (internal & external)
  • Preparation of weekly cheque runs, electronic funds transfers & wire payments
  • Maintaining regular communication with A/P location contacts
  • Monthly vendor statement cleanup
  • Preparation of monthly A/P accruals
  • Participating in Accounts Payable projects & process improvements
  • Processing outgoing courier requests for the Finance Department
  • Daily retrieval of mail from Canada Post and completing bank deposit preparations
  • Assisting with HST, GST, PST, Interim & Year-End Audits
  • All other duties as assigned
  • A minimum of 3 years working in a Clerical, Administrative or Accounting role
  • Postsecondary education in Business or Accounting is a definite asset
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work professionally in a fastpaced team environment & meet important deadlines
  • Exceptional time management & prioritization skills
  • Detailoriented and ability to handle a large volume of work accurately and efficiently
  • Able to adapt to process changes & quickly learn new Accounting systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)jBssBGyslK
