We are seeking an experienced performance measurement lead to plan, design, execute and consult on performance measurement frameworks, research studies, data collection, statistical analysis and knowledge mobilization related to the delivery of policing in Ontario.

What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of performance measurement frameworks/strategies that improve policing in Ontario
  • Conduct research to support priorities, compliance, reviews, reports to identify systemic issues and trends
  • Provide analysis, advice and guidance on the measurement and delivery of policing
  • Recommend strategies, projects and initiatives that will enable the Inspectorate of Policing to partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the negotiation and implementation of information sharing initiatives
  • Coach/train/lead other analysts on evaluation and analytical techniques and strategies
  • Lead, plan and design research, analysis and statistical tools
  • Coordinate and plan concurrent projects and oversee all phases of the project
  • Consult with and provide advice to field level service providers and internal and external stakeholders

How do I qualify?:


Technical Knowledge:


  • You have knowledge of program evaluation techniques to develop strategy and plan, design, execute, lead and consult on evaluation frameworks and performance measurement.
  • You have knowledge of current issues and trends and status of performance measurement and research.
  • You have knowledge and understanding of policing governance and related legislation.

Research and Data Analytics Skills:


  • You can plan, design, lead and consult on evaluation frameworks, performance measurement, research studies and statistical analysis of a variety or program and services.
  • You can develop strategies and provide guidance on program evaluation and performance measurement.
  • You can lead the process of generating statistical reports and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis using statistical data analysis software/programs.

Leadership and Project Management Skills:


  • You have leadership and coordination skills to develop and integrate strategies.
  • You can collaborate and influence internal and external experts.
  • You have project management techniques to coordinate and plan concurrent projects.

Communication and Relationship Management Skills:


  • You have business relationship and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships and to recommend and influence decision making.
  • You can lead and contribute to teams, conduct internal and external stakeholder consultations and build strong collaborative networks.
