Security Operations is the team that handles day to day protection of our environment and the tools that support them. This team takes care of identifying security weaknesses and facilitates remediation efforts. Additionally, this team monitors networks to assesses abnormal behaviors and manages security incidents to allow for execution of response processes.


Your Impact:


The Lead Security Analyst will understand a wide array of security processes and concepts and have a strong SOC background.

In this role the Lead Security Analyst will be involved in monitoring, responding, and protecting Protected-B information assets by working collaboratively with internal teams, SMEs, external customers, auditors, and other stakeholders.

The Lead Security Analyst will perform various duties including:
SIEM and security monitoring, alarm triage, incident handling, log analysis.

This is a hands-on role that will create, maintain, and follow detailed operational processes and procedures to appropriately analyze, escalate, and assist in remediation of information security incidents.

This role will also proactively search for, and handle, threats, and abnormal activities within the environment.


What the role offers:


As a Lead Security Analyst, you will:

  • Perform security monitoring, manage security cases & tickets, and conduct security incident analysis (SIEM, SOC, EDR).
  • Analyze security logs (SIEM, system, network) for actionable events (reports, alerts, tickets).
  • Respond to incidents across endpoints and server systems (EDR).
  • Conduct security reviews, risk analysis, and controls reviews (ISO, SOX, HIPAA) per policy.
  • Research security advisories (CERT), create documentation, and ensure compliance (SOC).
  • Possess 58 years of previous professional experience.

What you need to Succeed:


  • Familiarity with commonly used information security concepts, best practices, and standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Good analytic, troubleshooting, and problemsolving skills
  • Experience with SIEM tools and operations (Splunk preferred)
  • Experience with cloud security tools and operations
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools
  • Experience with antivirus and endpoint security solutions
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years in Information systems support, security engineering, security analysis; risk and governance experience a plus
  • One or more of the following certifications would be preferred: CISSP, CySA+, GSLC, GIAC, PCI QSA, ISO 27001 Lead Audit
