Are you a Heavy Equipment Technician looking for an exciting new opportunity? We're recruiting a Heavy Equipment Technician in Fort McMurray - Syncrude.


In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs on light plants, Generators, Welders, Skid steer and other support equipment.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of oil sands mine site experience
  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician
  • High School Diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma) required
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Experience and/or exposure to Generators, Light Plant, Welder, Skid steer and Diesel Engines
  • Experience and/or exposure to SAP is considered an asset

Responsibilities:


  • Perform planned preventative maintenance activities and repairs on Heavy Mobile Mining Equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment deficiencies
  • Participate in developing maintenance procedures and instructions

Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work out of a Syncrude location in Fort McMurray
  • The shift schedule is 3 days 3 nights and 6 off 12 hour shifts
  • You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor.
